Brokerage service

Tan Services offers a carefully curated selection of pre-owned sailing yachts and catamarans for sale in Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and across the UAE. Every boat we list is selected against strict criteria — because a second-hand yacht should bring its new owner years of happiness, not surprises.

Most of our brokerage boats come from owners we know personally: sailors who bought their yacht new through us and are now upgrading to a larger model. That continuity matters. We know each boat’s maintenance history, how it was sailed, and how it was cared for — knowledge no online listing can replicate.

Browse the current selection below, or view our full inventory on our YachtWorld broker page. Can’t find what you’re looking for? Contact us — new boats join the list regularly, and we can source specific models through our network.

Why buy a pre-owned yacht through a broker in the UAE?

Buying a second-hand yacht privately in the UAE can be a leap of faith: no maintenance records, no guarantee the vessel matches its description, and an ownership-transfer process that involves multiple authorities and, for many buyers, an unfamiliar paper trail. Working with an established brokerage changes that equation:

How our brokerage process works for buyers

1. Selection & viewing

Tell us what you’re looking for — size, budget, sailing programme (family cruising, racing, liveaboard). We’ll shortlist matching boats from our listings or source candidates through our network, then organise viewings at the marina.

2. Sea trial & survey

A yacht should be judged on the water, not at the dock. We arrange a sea trial for any serious buyer, and we encourage an independent marine survey for full peace of mind — we can recommend accredited surveyors operating in the UAE. If the survey raises points, we renegotiate or have the work done before completion.

3. Offer & agreement

Once you’re ready, we prepare the sale agreement and manage the negotiation with the seller on your behalf, and keep the transaction moving while the remaining checks are completed.

4. Ownership transfer & registration

This is where local experience pays. Transferring a boat in the UAE involves de-registration by the seller, a bill of sale, and re-registration with the relevant maritime authority of your emirate. Requirements vary between Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and the other emirates, and typically involve Emirates ID, visa and ownership documents. We handle the paperwork with you, step by step — most transfers complete within days.

5. Handover & after-sales

We deliver the boat with a full technical handover. And because we’re a dealer with our own service activity, the relationship doesn’t end at the pontoon: maintenance, spare parts, upgrades and warranty work on the brands we represent are all available in-house.

Why Tan Services

Founded in 2009 by Xavier Bouin, Tan Services has spent more than fifteen years putting sailors on the water in the Emirates, as the exclusive Middle East dealer for Lagoon catamarans, Beneteau sailing yachts, Dragonfly trimarans, Y Yachts and Omikron Yachts — serving owners across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman. Our brokerage service is the natural extension of that activity: the boats we sold new come back to us when their owners move up, and we know the UAE sailing market — berths, regattas, cruising grounds from Dubai to Muscat — better than anyone.

FAQ — buying a used sailing yacht in the UAE

Can foreigners buy and register a boat in the UAE?

Yes — UAE residents can register a boat in their name (Emirates ID and visa required). Registration rules and documents vary by emirate; we guide every buyer through the process applicable to their situation.

Where are your brokerage boats located?

Most of our listings are berthed in the UAE — Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and along the coast — which means you can view and sea-trial them within days, not weeks.

Do you arrange sea trials and surveys?

Always. A sea trial is part of any serious purchase, and we actively encourage an independent survey. We can recommend accredited marine surveyors working in the Emirates.

Can you help with berths, insurance and maintenance?

Yes. We assist new owners with marina berths, insurance contacts, and we service the boats we sell through our own technical team.

Can you find me a specific model?

If it’s not in our current listings, we can source it — through YachtWorld’s global network and our own contacts with Lagoon, Beneteau and Dragonfly owners across the region.
